Highest Rated Korean Dramas

At the time of writing, the top three Korean dramas in viewer ratings were all from the 90’s. First Love, starring Choi Soo Jong, Bae Yong Joon, Yi Seung Yeun and Choi Ji Woo, had a rating of 65.8% in 1997. What is Love?, starring Choi Min Soo and Ko Hyun Jung, had a rating of 64.9% in 1991. Sand Glass, starring Park Sang Won, Choi Min Soo and Ko Hyun Jung, had a rating of 64.5% in 1995. No Korean drama has ever reached such high ratings after year 2000.

Among recent Korean dramas, Brilliant Legacy starring Han Hyo Joo and Lee Seung Gi had a rating of 40.4% and IRIS and Chuno both had a rating of 40.1%. It seems that today there is a wider selection of Korean dramas to watch so the viewers must choose what they want to watch more.

With a rating of approximately 34.9%, Baker King, Kim Tak Goo is one of the most watched Korean dramas in 2010.
