Sungkyunkwan Scandal was first aired on August 30th on KBS. The Heroine, Park Min Young, acted well as the role of Kim Yoon Hee who is a female transvestite to substitute her sick younger brother.
The recently launched ‘transvestite’ character that had appeared in dramas are usually box office success. Yoon Eun Hae from Coffee Prince and Moon Geun Young from The Painter of the Wind and Park Shin Hae from You’re Beautiful act so well as the role of female transvestite that they became the protagonist of Drama Box Office. Also those dramas received good TV viewer’s ratings.
Transvestite characters are always accompanied by a beautiful man. There was Gong Yoo in Coffee Prince. Jang Geun Suk in You’re Beautiful.
Sungkyunkwan Scandal upgrades the composition by adding three beautiful men, Mickey Youchun (Lee Sun Joon), Song Joong Gi (Goo Yong Ha), and Yoo Ah In (Moon Jae Shin).
Park Min Young who has a thin voice played the character with a low tone of voice and dead pan. Her natural acting was favorable to viewers at the end of first episode.
